Director, EngineeringMr. Shepherd has served as Regional Chief Building Engineer and Special Projects Manager since joining Brandywine Realty Trust in June 1999. In addition to managing the daily maintenance operations for over 4 million square feet in the Central Virginia Region, he also acts as Project Manager for new construction and tenant up fit projects that require his expertise. Most recently, Mr. Shepherd has served as project manager for an energy verification and energy saving strategy development and for the implementation and commissioning of the Tracer® Summit Energy Services and Enterprise Server. This program has been deployed in all properties throughout the Central Virginia Region.In addition to special projects, Mr. Shepherd has managed several significant development projects including: Peter Jefferson Place: 6 multi-story buildings in Charlottesville totaling over 415,000 SF; project cost over $70M Villa Park III: 90,000 SF single story office/flex buildingMr. Shepherd has consulted on other projects including Arboretum VIII, Arboretum IX, Overlook I and II, Gateway Centre II, Commonwealth Biotechnologies, as well as special consulting for the former Kluge Vineyards and Estate, and the new MeadWestvaco headquarters building in downtown Richmond.Mr. Shepherd began his real estate career with Childress Klein Properties in February 1993 as a Master Electrician and HVAC Technician. He holds a Class A General Contractor license, is a member of Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and is currently pursuing his Real Property Administrator designation.
