To maintain, install and repair linear accelerators. In my time with this company I have installed many linear accelerators. I have been involved in the entire process of upgrading Varian linear accelerators. I have personally removed the old machine, jack hammered the the base frame from the concrete floor, lay new conduits when needed, set a new base frame, hire concrete contractors to grout the new base frame, hire rigging company to remove a used machine we purchased, work with the riggers to remove the machine, (help with unloading their equipment, driving fork lift, removal of covers, removal of cabling, bubble wrapping parts, packing, attaching red iron, and loading it on a truck) hire trucking company to haul machine, work with riggers to install the machine. Once installed I pull all cables, make connections and power up the machine. We follow a strict acceptance procedure provided by the manufacturer to ensure all mechanical and digital parameters are well within tolerance. The whole upgrade process usually takes 3 to 4 weeks.I have also removed, moved and reinstalled simulators and CT scanners.

Robbins LLC manufactures inner tubes for automobiles, trucks and farm use. They also make pre-cured tread for recapping truck tires. In September 1978 I started in the tube molding dept making 900 x 20 truck tubes. In January 1979 I moved to molding tractor tubes. February 1980 I switched to the pre-cure Dept molding air bags until Sept 1981 when I was accepted into the maintenance dept. I worked in the maintenance and forklift shop until I left in 1993 in order to attend college. I was responsible for keeping 23 fork lifts running along with welders, pumps, tractors, air compressors, several dump trucks, company cars, lawn mowers ,,, anything with an engine. I also had to set up a parts dept and keep up inventory. In my shop we did not send out any work except machine shop work.. We rebuilt starters, alternators, engines, transmissions, carburetors, differentials, water pumps, pressed our own tires on the fork lifts,( I built a custom press) We also rebuilt refrigerant compressors for use in the factory on the tube mold lines. On Saturdays I worked on changing molds for the Pre Cured line.
