CurrentTo maintain, install and repair linear accelerators. In my time with this company I have installed many linear accelerators. I have been involved in the entire process of upgrading Varian linear accelerators. I have personally removed the old machine, jack hammered the the base frame from the concrete floor, lay new conduits when needed, set a new base frame, hire concrete contractors to grout the new base frame, hire rigging company to remove a used machine we purchased, work with the riggers to remove the machine, (help with unloading their equipment, driving fork lift, removal of covers, removal of cabling, bubble wrapping parts, packing, attaching red iron, and loading it on a truck) hire trucking company to haul machine, work with riggers to install the machine. Once installed I pull all cables, make connections and power up the machine. We follow a strict acceptance procedure provided by the manufacturer to ensure all mechanical and digital parameters are well within tolerance. The whole upgrade process usually takes 3 to 4 weeks.I have also removed, moved and reinstalled simulators and CT scanners.
