my role involved the following responsibilities:• 3rd line escalation point for technical issues from various departments within the company.• Act as a technical liaison between customers and other TNS departments.• Create and update procedural and process documentation including Remedy, and contribute to process improvement by offering suggestions and ideas.• Troubleshooting of faults through a service-provider level network, implementing fixes either as break-fix, or out of hours to lessen the impact in the case of non-critical faults.• Project work including enhancements to TNS infrastructure, decommissioning of various legacy networks (Frame Relay, TDM) and implementing improvements to existing network infrastructure.• Troubleshooting on various Cisco, Juniper, F5, Linux, SCO, Eastern Research, Sarian/Digi and other vendor equipment, including routers (from Cisco 870s to ASRs, Juniper MX80s, Sarian/Digi DSL/3G routers), switches (2950s to Nexus), load balancers (F5 BIG-IP and Riverstone), firewalls (ASA, PIX, Juniper SRX), as well as TNS-proprietary transaction processing/router software running on Linux and SCO platforms.• Troubleshooting faults involving BGP, MPLS, OSPF, EIGRP, IS-IS, IPSEC VPNs (site-to-site, DMVPN), STP, VTP, NAT, QoS, IP SLA and various other technologies.• Use of Wireshark/TCPDump/SSLDump to verify/prove/investigate faults.• Working with vendors (F5, Cisco, Juniper, Digi) to troubleshoot faults and also to ascertain information required for upcoming projects.• Bash, Perl and Python scripting to ease repetitive tasks such as the retrieval of information from Linux devices, automation of configuration updates and creation of monitoring tools.• Maintain a high level of knowledge of the implementation and troubleshooting of SSL/TLS protocol for use in our proprietary transaction processors/routing software.

• Worked on a part time basis during race weekends to maintain the bikes electronic systems including data logger and ECU.• Used data logged by the bike during practise to improve the bikes setup, also maintained and monitored correct operation and health of the engine.• Role required a high level of flexibility; with strict time limits involved it was often necessary to switch roles in order to meet deadlines. I would often be required to work on the mechanical assembly of the bikes.
