I started working with software in 1980 when my family bought our first computer a Tandy CoCo 64. Back then everything had to be programmed in basic and both me and my brother took to it like flies.In 1986 I started as an apprentice shipwright. I've done a lot of large and small tooling. High end composites, and interior woodwork. More recently I've added TIG welding stainless and aluminum to my resume, along with the ability to use a metal lathe, and milling machine.Aside from working as a shipwright I've worked on several open source projects from writing ebuilds for Gentoo to writing Java code for Android phones. I am self-taught in most computer science related areas and have Added parametric modeling and CNC in the last decade, designing, building and setting up and using software to create my own machines. This includes light robotics using Arduino and or Raspberry Pi. I am dedicated to learning as a function of life and never feel compelled to be complacent.My current programming skills include (HTML/CSS/javascript), Bash.I've also worked on more than a few web development projects for myself and others, including non-profits.As an aside I have a large portfolio of 3d work that I've accomplished over the years using a range of software including 3d(Maya, Blender,) 2d(Gimp, Inkscape)My Goals now include working professionally in software development, and (hopefully) 3d/2d computer art.
