CurrentWayne Wald is the Corporate practice group leader in Akerman's New York office. Wayne focuses his practice in corporate and securities law, particularly capital formation and merger and acquisition transactions. He represents public and private companies, including private equity sponsor owned or controlled companies, with respect to all aspects of their business, including corporate governance issues, SEC matters and compliance, and other ongoing and transactional corporate and securities matters. In addition, Wayne advises both buyers and sellers, and boards of directors, in connection with merger and acquisition transactions.Wayne represents issuers, underwriters, placement agents and lenders in public and private offerings of equity and debt securities, including IPOs, 144A high yield debt offerings, loan transactions and PIPES transactions, and in private equity and venture capital related financings. His industry specialization includes restaurants, retail, textile and apparel and various service industries.
