I have spent the past 8 years working with vulnerable adults, disadvantaged families and ex-offenders within the charitable sector, which is where I am now pursuing my ongoing career, in a role which allows my advocacy, training and key-worker support skills to be used to the full. Prior to this I spent 25 years in industry working in GIS (Geographical Information Systems), landscape architecture and environmental impact reporting.

Working primarily with those in prison and upon their release as well as their family and friends, Junction 42 is a charity with a difference, making a difference. We primarily work with offenders and ex-offenders being experienced providers of support both in custody and in the community. Having a history of offending often creates additional barriers to social inclusion, employability and independence. Junction 42 exists to help people overcome these barriers, through education, employment, on-going support, developing faith and nurturing supportive communities. The Job Club is a community focussed on overcoming potential barriers to employment, in particular a criminal background, and seeing people enter fulfilling and sustainable employment. We run a 8 week course particularly targeted to ex-offenders to help improve employability whilst helping job search and help people towards training and employment. Show less -
