This includes being responsible for all commercial issues which include pricing, engineering change recovery, component part obsolescence, prototype pricing, and tooling recovery.Negotiate Annual Price Review with Toyota Purchasing. Responsible for working with manufacturing plants to maximize recovery of material surcharge while also indentifying the cost reduction for manufacturing improvements.Developed standard quoting prices for multiple different stamping dies and injection mold tooling. This included benchmarking activities with multiple suppliers in the U.S. and Japan to understand the variables which make up the cost (labor rate, material, design, logistics, etc.)Assisted in Gentani activities which broke down all aspects of the N.A. piece price and Japan piece price to find regional variances. Once variances were identified, action items were created to reduce or eliminate the variance with the goal of achieving “global best” pricing.
