I have been an announcer in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association for the past 27 years. I've announced rodeos and special events all over the United States, including 4 times at the Mountain States Prorodeo Circuit Finals, 3 times at the First Frontier Prorodeo Circuit Finals, and 1 time at the Wilderness Prorodeo Circuit Finals. In addition, I have also been selected to announce the American Quarter Horse Association World Show 4 times, and the National Reining Horse Association Futurity 3 times. In 2013 I was selected to emcee the Prorodeo Hall of Fame induction ceremonies as well. Aside from my announcing career, I have also started a very successful custom leather business called Double U Leather. As owner, it is my job to order the raw materials, cut out the projects, hand tool each project, apply the various finishes, and then ship the orders. I am also responsible for all of the sales and marketing in obtaining the orders.
As a professional PA announcer, my duties are wide ranging. I'm required to be part educator, part entertainer, and part choreographer. It's almost like being a conductor in an orchestra.
