I have been programming since 1982 and sometimes still do. These days I am interested in technical architecture at scale as well as the practical supporting process and governance that allows enterprises to mature into better organizations. As far as methodologies go, I favour "lean" over the popularist view points put forward by "scrum", seeing "scrum" as but a small corner of "lean agile". I do not subscribe to Enterprise Architecture that sits in ivory towers, abstract, distant and aloof from real complexity, forcing meaningless compliance on people below. Enterprise Architecture must develop a relationship that is closer to the executors, practical and involved... generating end-value!
