Recently retired after 42 years with American Airlines and commercial aviation. I worked in JFK, LGA, ORD, DFW, CLT and MIA. During my career I held multiple senior management positions including Freight Terminal manager in ORD, Cargo Shift Manager in DFW, Managing Director Cargo Operations MIA, Managing Director Ramp Services MIA, Director Tower Operations MIA, Southeast Regional Senior Manager GSE Tech Ops responsible for CLT, MIA, DFW and STL, Director Facilities Maintenance, Director Bag Operations and finally Director Cargo Operations MIA/CLT.As a civilian volunteer during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom flying CRAF missions, I was assigned to Air Mobility Command for which I was awarded an Aerial Achievement Medal after completing 16 missions into an area of responsibility. I was part of a 5 man rapid response team assigned to Haiti following the 2010 earthquake responsible for re-establishing commercial aviation operations in PAP. In addition, I served as a CARE team member responding to multiple aircraft events over a three decade time frame. As Director Cargo Operations in MIA, I coordinated AA's response to multiple hurricanes impacting Puerto Rico as well as South Florida. Working with the Office of the Mayor - Miami-Dade County I represented American Airlines providing transportation expertise on the Mayor's committee on Modal Opportunities for Viable Enterprize (M.O.V.E.) and the development of the Miami Intermodal Center. I worked with multiple law enforcement agencies including the F.B.I., Miami Dade Airport Special Operations team, the Secret Service, CBP and others on multiple projects. During my career I participated in several Habitat for Humanity projects, volunteered to go to New Orleans to help rebuild homes following major hurricanes and over a ten year period provided motorcycle escort SAG support for the South Florida MS 150 Breakaway Ride to Key Largo. I was a founding member of the Miami International Airport Military Events Committee and over a ten year period served in various capacities including Chairman, Co-Chair, and Secretary. I am currently providing consultation services in the aviation industry specializing in ramp and cargo operations as well as GSE and Facility Maintenance.
