"when will 'they' design a better system?"...That question naturally leads to the question..."Why don't we?"...So we did.Our hybrid electric/hydraulic topdrive is easily twice as efficient as it's closest competitor. That means more power in a smaller package. That means less energy input, 50-80% less fuel. That means faster, easier, more effective drilling. In fact, we can double your rate of penetration.Not only does it perform better than any other drive on the market, electric or hydraulic, but should it break down it is much easier to diagnose and repair. Given the design redundancies and our ability to isolate systems, the vast majority of it's maintenance, even much of it's repair, can be done while drilling, drastically mitigating down time.Can your topdrive give you 30,000 ft/lbs at 200 RPM (1500HP)? Can it hoist 375 Ton? All in a package smaller than most 250 Ton Topdrives?We are also developing a smaller 275 ton as well as a larger 575 ton drive. We offer optional power packages of 500HP, 750HP, 1,200HP, 1,500HP and 2000HP.
