Experienced, passionate, and dynamic Board Director seeking opportunities to support Canadian public and privately-held Companies, Crown Corporations, and non-profit organizations interested in fresh perspectives on corporate governance and oversight. I recently retired from the fast-paced world of consulting engineering. Over my 23-year career, I was engaged in numerous, diverse rolls, including Project Manager, Senior Consultant / Scientist, General Manager (UAE office), and Manager of Innovation (Corporate). Through these positions I developed hands-on expertise in management, leadership, problem solving, and consulting on highly unique and ambitious environmental and engineering projects around the globe. I now hope to leverage these skills in concert with my experience as a member of both private and not-for-profit Boards and my professional designation as a Chartered Director (C.Dir.), to bring value to the Boards on which I serve. Known for my passion and infectious enthusiasm, I excel at helping others overcome unique challenges by deconstructing, simplifying, and communicating complex issues in logical and systematic ways. In my “spare time” I plan to spend more time with family and pursue other passions, including various academic and scientific research interests in windblown / drifting sand and dust emissions resulting from both natural and human activities.
