I am currently working on a long term contract basis for an International Asset Management Company.

During my tenure with HSBC I have climbed the corporate ladder by working in a variety of roles which has enabled me develop my experience and gain a wide exposure to the industry.In this most recent role one of my greatest achievements was designing and implementing a new system which has considerably reduced errors and dramatically increased efficiency in the business area.Key responsibilities:• Acted as the critical point of contact between Traders, Sales and Middle office stakeholders for all trade queries. • Identified issues with trades, locating the source of error and reporting findings back to the relevant stakeholders.• Monitored risk and P&L issues, ensuring all trade information has been inputted with accuracy and assessing associated risks.• Identified sources of risk and error and offering recommendations to reduce exposure.• Acted as a critical liaison between clients and traders to ensure all trades are 100% compliant.• Implemented new processes to reduce manual bookings.• Worked as part of a small project team responsible for the ongoing testing and implementation of MIFID 2. I solely represented the UK and worked closely with counterparts in Europe and Asia to highlight, analyse and discuss primal findings.• Involved in weekly meetings with other departments where I would report back on system and trade reporting and make recommendations. • Dealt with compliance, business management on reporting issues to exchange and internal regulatory issues• Tested a variety of new systems and documented processes.• Analysed existing process and recommended new business based standards to product/system users.• Monitored risk controls and made recommendations for improvements where relevant.• Liaised with reconciliation teams to resolve issues and create better communication between teams.

Key Responsibilities:• For 6 months during this period I also covered the convertible bonds desk trading, dealing with clients and sales.• Helped to implement new processes and systems for the desk, as well as workflows to reduce risk. • Booked trades.• Analysed P&L and reported any inaccuracies or general findings.• Liaised with external counterparties and internal stakeholders to resolve issues with trades.• Dealt with syndication on new issues. • Took responsibility for the setup of static data and book structure for the desk with product control.

Key Responsibilities:• Booked trades and dealt with settlement queries for convertible bonds, Equity Derivatives and Cash Equities.• Ensured the front office support function performed effectively, adhering to business standards and compliance controls. • Acted as a liaison between Traders, Middle office and various other key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:• Maintained the system for securities such as bonds, equities and Fixed Income.• Used external resources such as Bloomberg and Reuters to assist with analysis of data and quality check information provided.• Communicated with traders and external vendors to insure data quality and timeliness of changes for trading purposes.• Trained new members of staff.• Implemented and wrote procedural documents for internal distribution.
