As the Vice President of IT, Mr. King worked to develop LearnEze.com’s IT strategy and framework. Mr. King was instrumental in the development of LearnEze.com’s online distributed learning solutions and the integration of new technologies. Performed various consulting engagements, such as: re-developing/architecting the Strategis web publishing system for Industry Canada. This included a workplan, conversion, testing and a migration strategy for Domino v 4.x to R5.x Built customized Quickplaces for Industry Canada Performed a study of Learning Management Systems for the Department of Foreign Affairs

As the Vice President of Consulting services for TSG/Coredge, Mr. King was heavily involved in the development, integration, installation and support of the company’s document management products and well as consulting services around document management installations. The document management systems used were primarily PC DOCS, Cyber DOCS, and Domino.Doc.Involved in the review, testing, implementation, support and mentoring for CIDA’s cc:mail, cc:mail MTA’s, migration to Notes Mail, and establishing BETA test environment for x.400 and SMTP, and cc:mail MTA’s.Involved in the architecture and implementation of Metropolitan Life Canada’s Notes v4.x infrastructure. The implementation involved migration from cc:Mail to Notes. Developed the Notes v4.x mail and database architecture and deployment documents for Health Canada, assisted and mentored in the implementation of the infrastructure.Integrated Lotus Notes Mail with Lotus cc:Mail at Health Canada, for their nation-wide Notes and cc:Mail networks. Duties included project planning, developing the technical architecture, technical integration, documentation, and user training. Also aided in the implementation of a pilot Lotus Organizer network.Managed the testing lab at TSG for Lotus Notes architecture and messaging (i.e. Exchange, Lotus Notes MTA’s, cc:Mail, GroupWise, Netscape).Managed a project to install a 400+ user installation of Lotus Notes at the Department of National Defense, Department Information Services Organization (DISO). Duties included the planning, installation and integration of Lotus Notes servers into DISO's existing Banyan network, and integration with the existing Lotus Notes network of the ADM (FIN) organization. Among the activities involved in this effort was Lotus Notes installation and configuration. Responsible for the development and documentation of standards for installation, operation and administration, and user training.

Implemented document management systems at a number of major law firms and government departments. Duties included the installation and configuration of the system per the firms’ requirements, as well as ongoing training, and application and technical support.Integrated LAN to Host-based electronic mail systems at Fortune 500 companies throughout North America. Duties included project management, technical integration, and user training.Installed LAN based mail systems (Microsoft Mail, Microsoft Exchange, Lotus cc:Mail, Lotus Notes, HP OpenMail) for various clients throughout North America.Managed a 250+ user installation of Lotus Notes at the Department of National Defence. Duties included the planning, installation and integration of ten Lotus Notes servers into DND's existing Banyan network, and the integration of Lotus Notes mail with BeyondMail. Also responsible for Lotus Notes administration, Notes development, and the coordination between developers and existing network administrators. Assisted in the development of a feasibility study to determine the best alternative for the upgrading of a Mutual Fund Accounting system at a major trust company. This involved the definition of the system's functional requirements and an analysis of the alternatives based on these requirements and other constraints provided by the trust company. Activities conducted in this process included the development of an RFP, and an analysis of the various vendor responses.

Co-ordinated efforts between IBM and an IBM business partner. Wrote product brochures and ad copy and prepared corporate and product demonstrations. Assisted in the development of product strategies, and conducted market studies and telemarketing. Trained employees in the use of PC applications, including desktop publishing.

Provided marketing and technical support for various office systems to customers and sales force. Conducted formal demonstrations and training for professional organizations and at trade shows. The office systems were focused on the document publishing and management market.
