UOW Pulse Ltd is a newly formed entity merging Wollongong UniCentre Ltd. and the University of Wollongong Recreation & Aquatic Centre (URAC), resulting in a multidisciplinary commercial entity. As the Head of Human Resources I am supporting the organisation to effectively merge the two entities, while setting the cultural and organisational landscape. This merger will ultimately lead to my position being made redundant. My role has included identifying, planning and implementing first-quarter critical HR actions while partnering with senior managers, and setting a long-term HR transition plan with key milestones. I have also established RFP deliverables and selected tender participants to support the introduction of a new HRIS to support the entity moving forward.In addition, I have established a communication strategy to address immediate change management issues to maintain team engagement, focus and direction, and established an industrial framework for the merged entities.
