I'm a proud engineer with almost 2 decades of experience in the semiconductor industry. Through hard work, perseverance, and continual study I have made it my mission to keep learning and apply that knowledge to my career and drive products to secure design sockets. From this personal philosophy, I have honed my technical knowledge to provide subject matter expertise as an individual contributor and bridge the gap to an engineering manager by encouraging a winning team sprit and foster professional relationship building. After a decade of defining and designing linear products, I have found my home in automotive with a focus on power electronics. As everything needs power, the electrification of vehicles is a paradigm shift in automotive that will lead innovation in energy generation, transmission, storage, and charging. As an engineer in the automotive space, it is an exciting and challenging time. Most importantly, it should be fun!A snapshot of products and systems I have industry experience in:• Class AB/D/G audio, video, power, and precision amplifiers• Low voltage comparators• Non-isolated Buck, Boost, Buck-Boost topologiesOther topics of knowledge gained by personal curiosity:• Python scripting, Arduino, System Verilog• Analog switches, digital logic gates• Classic video game system board design

Applications Product ManagerAnalog Devices Dec 2018 - Apr 2024Wilmington, Ma, UsAs a product manager for Power Regulators, I lead my team supporting the sales and field organizations to secure design sockets within automotive. We actively support ASIL single and multi-phase converters, PMICs, and power monitors for the Instrument Clusters, Infotainment, Advanced Driver Assistant System (ADAS), and vehicle electrification. My team is heavily focused on silicon validation which calls for extensive hands-on laboratory knowledge, and diverse collateral development for post-silicon release. Including but not limited to detailed design calculators, application notes highlighting product differentiation, extensive datasheet and design guides, and SPICE/SIMPLIS modeling. My applications team is the linchpin between the design team and the field ensuring growth for the business unit and ultimately ADI.As manager I evangelize for my team across the products life cycle. From definition to End of Life, I ensure my team understands every step, why decisions are made, and when necessary carefully object with clear reasoning all with the customer's requirements in mind.Product Manager Goals and Responsibilities: - Support a diverse portfolio or products that accounts for 50M in lifetime revenue across the Auto Regulator business.- Lead a team of junior, mid level, and senior engineers by empowering every team member to lead their own assigned projects with confidence. - Foster a "Subject Matter Expert" with my team; EMI, PCB Layout, SPICE/SIMPLIS modeling, ASIL system development.- New Process developments for LTSpice Models. Explain what automotive customers expect in performance and advocate for their needs in development meetings. -
Smts - Manager Low Voltage Power And Supervisory ProductsMaxim Integrated Jun 2020 - May 2022San Jose, Ca, UsAs a senior engineer I have taken a greater role with minimal oversight in new product development. Working closely with the product definer to understand system level requirements, distilling those requirements into a silicon validation plan which is used to guide design early in IC development, then executed during pre-silicon release to ensure IC robustness.Customer engagement is critical during new product development, as they are also involved in system level design in often in parallel. Whether communication is direct with the customer development team or through the ADI field and sales organization, I reinforced the necessity to review schematics and PCB layout during customer's design validation phase before mass production. This avoided costly board respins and line down situations.Individual Responsibilities:- Evaluation PCB development- SIMPLIS model correlation to IC silicon- ASIL single phase and multi-phase , non-isolated, DC-DC converters- ASIL Power Monitors- Increase coverage and efficiency of silicon validation -
Mts - Applications Engineer, Automotive PowerMaxim Integrated Dec 2018 - Jun 2020San Jose, Ca, UsAdvanced Driver Assisted Systems (ADAS) with a focus on ISO-26262 compliance.Responsible for all aspects of collateral during product development in an applications environment.- Datasheet maintenance.- Develop schematics, layout, and documentation for customer EVKits.- Development of GUIs for customer evaluation of silicon.- Create, update, and implement silicon evaluation documentation.- Develop automated bench evaluation setups in Python to measure and plot data for analysis. -
Applications Engineer, Mobile PowerDialog Semiconductor Jan 2016 - Dec 2018Reading, England, GbDialog Semiconductor was my first role within the power management segment in the semiconductor industry. I came into the company green; however, I leveraged my knowledge I had gained from my 9 years of experience in linear, and especially Class D amplifiers. The role was exclusively focused on silicon validation, with targeted opportunities for schematic and PCB development. Python scripting was a new skill that I acquired to speed up validation in the lab, and a key accomplishment of mine was a fully automated test suite that increased validation by 50%.Individual Responsibilities:- Project lead engineer for AASP’s first PMIC design (SC2703) for Spreadtrum Communications- Customer PMIC training- Silicon validation- Design socket wins with SC2703 variants at UNISOC and MicroMax achieving 5M in revenue- Python development to fully automate silicon evaluation: Measuring, analyzing for pass/fail, and automatic report generation speeding up evaluation by 50% -
