Being involved in the design and development of multiple forward-looking and futuristic projects in Singapore, such as the smart lamp posts for Govtech, forensics kiosks for Singapore Police Force and multiple military projects for Singapore Armed Forces, Wayne possesses an extensive 9 years’ experience working with multidisciplinary teams to design solutions that not only enhance business growth and incorporate integrated innovation, but are also meaningful and people-centric.Wayne is a pioneer employee of We Are Perspective who has been invaluable in tackling challenges faced by the company and is involved in most of its major projects since 2011. At every stage of the design process from ideation to deep industrial implementation, he confidently demonstrates his technical knowledge, humanist sensibility and quick conceptualization to propel projects forward.Wayne’s greatest strength is in his ability to remain undaunted regardless of how difficult the situation is. He is strong in articulating ideas and concepts that balances practicality and creativity in design for manufacturing. He communicates the vision of a proposed strategy fast through photorealistic digital renderings or physical mock ups which are critical in the conceptualization stage.He has also developed a particular interest in exploring new possibilities in future scenarios and proposing open social questions with possible alternatives. He inculcates a people-focused approach in his design philosophy, with the conviction that good design should revolve around improving quality of life and making solutions accessible for everyone. He believes that despite the rapid replacement of human interactions with technology and smart devices, it is still important to retain intrinsic, humane aspects, and strives to design effective solutions with that in mind.Wayne has won multiple design awards, including the Singapore Caltex Lion Design Competition, Singapore Design Award, IKEA Young Designer Award, German Design Award, Merlion Award 2019 and CES INNOVATION AWARDS .
