Created and established the in-house Legal Department of this real estate investment and management company controlling over $1 billion in commercial and residential property holdings in various locations both within and outside of the United States. Principal legal responsibilities for the Company's multi-state commercial and residential properties portfolios to include tenant lease preparation and negotiation, general corporate matters, construction agreements negotiation and preparation, employment matters, ongoing document form preparation and revision, external counsel retention and supervision, litigation management and 501(c)(3) organization formation/status eligibility/maintenance.

International* Selected and hired as the Company's first international in-house attorney.* Responsibility for the legal needs of the Company's businesses operating outside of the U.S., covering a broad range of commercial and transactional matters to include business start-up and licensing issues, property acquisition agreements, vendor and other supplier agreements, government affairs matters, local/cultural adaptation of "best practices," regulatory compliance and training, external counsel retention and supervision, customs/import-export issues, shipping/transportation/logistics, employment and general corporate work.

Responsibility for a broad spectrum of legal and business affairs including a wide variety of contractual/transactional/commercial matters, domestic and international television channel distribution, syndication and production agreements, employment and consulting matters, rights acquisition and licensing agreements, contracts administration, real estate acquisition and leasing agreements, television network formation, advertising and marketing issues, intellectual property matters, compliance matters, regulatory work, government affairs work, the legal issues associated with the operation of professional sports franchises and the organization and staging of major international, multi-sport athletic competitions, external counsel retention and supervision, litigation management, the legal issues associated with the establishment and operation of businesses in multiple foreign jurisdictions and the hiring and supervision of other in-house attorneys both domestically and internationally.
