I am the director and owner-manager of MHW PR, a communications consultancy I co-founded 24 years ago. I also act as an occasional contributing business editor to regional publisher Portfolio North.At MHW, my team and I help our clients develop, promote, and protect their reputation, mainly in B2B sectors such as manufacturing, built environment, fintech, education, and renewables. We deliver regional and national media relations, online and traditional, as well as reputation management and crisis comms.My role is hands on and varied; it can involve managing stakeholder engagement to promoting property projects across the North East, nationally and internationally. I work with expanding manufacturers as well as regional housebuilders and developers, along with a national planning consultancy. Over the years, I've gained experience of working in professional services, business support, and renewables. I leverage my skills in corporate communications, media relations, and copywriting to create strategic media campaigns and brand support for our clients. My goal, and that of MHW, is to provide a commercial advantage for clients, building trust in their products and services.
