Started and led the business analysis and reporting support teams for the distribution, buying and retail operations groups, where key performance indicators (“KPIs”) were developed with and reported for management.Managed a group of 50+ business analysts, with 8 managers directly reporting to the Director position. This group had business analysis responsibility for supporting the following functional areas: retail, manufacturing, distribution, category management/buying, real estate, risk management, IT and facilities. This group consistently utilized best practices in spreadsheet/database application design to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the operations groups supported. Other areas of responsibility maintained for several years: long-term financial planning (primary forecaster for KPIs that drove the financial results), annual/quarterly retail sales/profit goal setting for financial and non-financial KPIs, category management annual sales goal setting, weekly store sales and labor KPI forecasts by division, and financial statement cut-off responsibility for inventory and cost of sales.
