2 Day Intensives - Life And Business Growth

1 on 1 , 2:1 (business building family members) and Group In-Person Intensives at our Farm in the building we call "the Space" and in the area around our farm.A Farm Intensive is the experience of coming to Pennsylvania for 2 days to be immersed in your dreams and your future. We create together. We have wide and deep conversations designed to get you clear on what you really want and how you've been getting in your own way.We remove blocks and create a small-step roadmap to get to what you want and where you want to be and who you want to be.You are able to stay at one of 2 cabins located in a mountain/forest location that are 15 minutes from our farm or you can stay in "the Space" on a rollaway bed and wake up and go for a walk on the farm property in the morning or you can camp on our property.Part of your experience will be to unplug from social media and text and email and other work apps on your phone and computer for at least 24 hours and preferably 48 hours. We suggest that you use just the telephone feature of your phone to call your spouse/partner or a close friend. The office should only be allowed to call ME in a true emergency!For group BBCamp - we gather up like minded business owners in a small group of 4-10 and we work on Life and 120 Day plans together. Part of the program is monthly follow up for the next 120 days to make sure you are staying on track and that you have support.

Farmer And Marketer

We started an organic meat farm after raising 10 chickens in the garage of our typical suburban home. I really got FIRED up on this and we grew the farm to over $100k in sales direct from our farm garage to families who wanted pasture raised animals.Grinding it out with this startup was such a great experience and we met many wonderful people. The farm pushed us to move to our 20 acre farm where my coaching building is! We now are planning to have a small herd of beef cows and a small herd of pasture raised pigs to provide meat to our coaching clients who come to "the Space" as my coaching building is known.

Preferred Warranties (PWI) is where I was bumped and bruised and where I grew and learned about Sales Force Leadership. PWI was the testing lab for the growth techniques that I now implement with my clients.At PWI I led a direct sales force that grew from approximately 20 sales consultants in 14 states to 35 sales consultants in 21 states during the time that I was VP of sales. My team of 6 Regional Sales managers led their teams by holding their people accountable, by focusing intently on sales process management, and by providing frequent coaching and feedback. During my tenure at PWI we implemented: account segmentation; sales consultant score-boarding and reward systems; Customer Relationship Management; a sales on-boarding and continuous training process; a mentoring program; a multi-interview and assessment recruiting system; and pipeline management. As the market changed I was able to promote my Sales Assistant to the Director of Inside Sales and we built the foundation for what is now a highly effective Inside Sales Team. It was my great pleasure to see sales consultants smash company records and to help mentor and coach Sales Managers to achieve great results through their teams. While I was at PWI we weathered the deepest recession and down turn in the auto business in stride and ultimately grew market share at an explosive rate when we burst out of the downturn. Several of our competitors disappeared during the downturn while others bogged down in the mire of negative attitudes and fear. Together, my sales managers and I helped keep morale up and our sales team "kept their feet moving" and always made one more call before going home for the evening. PWI took on a Private Equity Firm partner who held the majority of PWI ownership in 2006. In 2012 we successfully sold PWI to a Publicly traded company who will no doubt now take PWI across the United States. We built a scalable platform that was based on systems rather than individuals.

ARM Group is a highly successfully environmental, geotechnical and geological engineering firm. I worked at ARM for a very intelligent and bottom-line and SALES focused manager that taught me project management skills and client development skills. At ARM Group I initially started as a Project Engineer and advanced quickly to Project Manager and in a few months was being placed into a Department Manager position. As a consulting engineer I always struggled with the "Do the Work" parts of the position but I loved Sales, Project Management, Profit, and Networking. At ARM I learned about technical sales and how not to simply write proposals, put them in a bottle and then throw them out to sea. I learned how to tip the odds in our favor and only provide proposals where we had a high likelihood of winning. I learned the value of ongoing retainer arrangements for clients - high value retainers that helped our clients because we were already ramped up and ready to go and these helped us because they smoothed out our cash flow.Engineers and other Professional CAN sell...but they need a system, coaching, and accountability to the process.

I worked in the mountains of Colorado for a very forward-thinking drilling and blasting and earth retention design-build contractor. Here I learned how to sell projects, bid projects, manage projects, bill clients for projects, how to manage people, how to manage sub-contractors and more. This was a period of trial by fire in many ways but we accomplished a lot. At Yenter Companies I specialized in high-end construction and remediation projects in Aspen and Vail. Successful completion of a project required understanding the client's unique needs, understanding their budget and then providing a solution that worked for the client. Largest project sold and managed was approximately $500,000, with many projects in the $20-$250k range. Soil nails, micropiles, tiebacks, drilling and blasting and rock and block faced reinforced earth walls were our primary tools to build new projects and to fix existing structures.
