As a seasoned veteran of computing and technology, I have been a part of the some of the most significant shifts in technology affecting business. This ranges from Y2K of the past to Cloud, containerization, virtualiation, and mobile computing today. During this time, my clients and customers have come to rely on my guidance, advice, and expertise. There are two primary things that I have identified that has helped me excel in my career: • First, is the understanding that all technology impacts the individuals of an organization. By being a part of the process of teaching, training, and supporting my customers I have built a level of trust because they know I understand their business and am as committed to their success as they are as a trusted advisor.• The second thing is that change brings uncertainty, and uncertainty can cause a disruption in the business process. My role has been to help my clients understand how the change will impact their business and how to use technology to achieve their organizational goals. In addition to my roles in management, I have extensive experience in the trenches, whether leading or being a part of the team. This knowledge provides me with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by my clients, allowing me to anticipate issues before they become a problem. I have developed a wide range of skills and expertise, including the following: - Cybersecurity- Risk & Vulnerability Analysis- Networking - Virtualization- Linux & Scripting- Routing & Switching (Cisco)- Mobility - Training and Education– Programming/Analysis I, too, have extensive experience "in the trenches." Working in equipment closets and server rooms is my second home. Rack and stack, install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot and all the other tasks that go along with managing a network are all in my wheel-house.I am always looking for consulting opportunities.
