Uss Gunston Hall (Lsd 44)

Managed three Supervisors and ten Technicians performing maintenance and technical repair on over 50$ million dollars worth of communications, radar, and navigation systems on board USS Gunston Hall as the final technical expert during a nine month deployment to the Middle East in support of Operation Enduring Freedom resulting in fulfillment of all mission objectives and minimal equipment downtime.Utilized an extensive knowledge of electrical engineering standards and practices to effect emergent repairs during difficult circumstances to complex electrical and electronic equipment to include diagnosis and troubleshooting to the system, subsystem and component level. Used detailed electrical schematics to determine root cause of failure and make emergency repairs or electrical fabrication as needed.Performed preventative and corrective maintenance on Super High Frequency (AN/WSC-6(v) 7) and Extra High Frequency (AN/USC-38v) satellite communications systems using oscilloscopes, microwave frequency counters, frequency generators, spectrum analyzers and bit error rate testers. Performed preventative and corrective maintenance on eleven Ultra High Frequency (AN/WSC-3(v)) line of sight radios, nine High Frequency transmitters (AN/URT-23c), and fourteen High Frequency receivers (R-2368) resulting in 100% communications availability during a nine month deployment.Maintained a repair and maintenance inventory while managing a quarterly repair parts budget worth between $250K and $500K resulting in zero loss of inventory during a two year period.Achieved above average Total Ship Readiness Assessment (TSRA) and Maintenance and Material Management Inspection (3MI) scores and received no failures while coordinating with Inspectors and Technicians. Reviewed weekly preventative maintenance, parts ordered, repair tickets, and administrative duty summary reports from subordinate supervisors and ensured accuracy and effectiveness of programs.

Uss Normandy (Cg 60)

Supervised and managed four Technicians in the scheduled maintenance and emergent repairs of wireless communications systems aboard the USS Normandy.Provided technical and training support to six Technicians as the Subject Matter Expert for Super HighFrequency (SHF) and Extra High Frequency (EHF) satellite communications.
