I am an educator, entrepreneur, inventor, and attorney, with significant experience in government contracts, export control, and the aerospace & defense industry. I am an expert in commercial space law and policy, and the proud author of the draft legislation the Space Pioneer Act. This legislation includes homesteading, salvage law and mining law for outer space.In 2003 I conceived the DARPA project Robotic Servicing of Geosynchronous Satellites. In 2011 I founded an aerospace technology company SpaceBooster LLC. I conceived, wrote the application, and successfully prosecuted US Patent 8,857,112 Rapid Assembly Lightweight Modular Structure [for the Moon, Mars, and extreme environments on Earth]. I also prosecuted my second patent, US Patent 10,577,133 Interplanetary Spacecraft, issued March 3, 2020. I previously served as Manager of the Contracts & Purchasing Dept. at Oceaneering Space Systems, and as a key member of the proposal team that successfully bid on the NASA Constellation Space Suit System prime contract.Specialties: Commercial space law and policy, aerospace and defense, government and commercial contracts; export control, proposal preparation, intelligence research and analysis.
