Materials Manager

Responsibilities• Analyze physical inventory, initiate inventory discrepancy investigations, and perform general activities necessary to maintain appropriate control• Collaborate with management to determine supply needs, and ensure Operations has an adequate flow of materials needed to meet customer/business needs• Lead planning activities for various platforms (internally and externally manufactured, raw parts and finished, supplied directly and through distribution, supplied from stock and from others)• Work with procurement to initiate purchasing of materials according to planning and specifications• Interact with manufacturing, shipping, receiving, and warehousing operations at numerous locations managing inventory levels to ensure availability of material as needed• Oversee distribution of material throughout the organization• Participate in forecasting future orders• Recommend measures to improve processes, performance, quality of service, and changes to increase efficiency• Use the SAP ERP system to manage master data and execute the material requirements of the global operation• Support relationships with suppliers including processes for consignment, floor stock, and other inventory management programs• Review and adjust materials within SAP to Engineering Change Orders• Knowledge of all Lean and Full Warehouse transactions within the SAP platform• Manage the reporting of key metrics associated with inventory control and service of the business
