I have been involved with oil and gas projects for the last 12 years. I am currently working in Pipeline Integrity for ATCO - Natural Gas and have done so for 5 years. This includes implementing cathodic protection capital projects, managing leak and asset data, and assessing transmission girth welds. Previously, I was the Mechanical Lead for a pipeline pump station project at Stantec. This involved managing engineers and designers, ordering mechanical equipment (valves, mainline pumps, piping, tanks), and approving piping designs. The projects required specifications for slab gate valves, trunnion ball valves, plug valves varying in sizes all the way up to NPS 30. I approved datasheets, and technical specifications for material requisitions, and ensured that the offered valves and actuators met the client specifications and appropriate codes. Part of consulting engineering is accountability to the client through meetings and updates, and as the Mechanical Lead I was responsible for mechanical hours, project updates, and keeping up with project milestones. I am experienced with ASME B31.3, B31.4, Section IX, and CSA Z662. I have also completed the NACE CP2 and CP3 courses. I have my P. Eng designation through APEGA and APEGS.
