• Responsible for repairs and preventive maintenance of a 2.1 million square foot building with 14.5 miles of conveyor which is an average of 15 years old. Maintaining 182 industrial fork trucks of various types and grounds maintenance of 105-acre site.• Three shift operation which entails coordinating the maintenance supervisors and their crew are able to meet the needs of day to day operations and ongoing projects.• Reduced the spare parts inventory from $439,000.00 to $183,000.00 with the implementation of a consignment program and identifying obsolete stock. • Implemented a conveyor PM program which has reduced down time from days to planned maintenance shut downs.• Serving on a committee that is adapting an apprenticeship program for all Kmart distribution centers Maintenance associates.(highly skilled function)• Reduced power equipment down time from 45 trucks a day to 4 by utilizing outside vendors and increased in house PM schedule while still maintaining a cost saving over the previous year.• Since implementation of all programs Newnan Distribution Center has very little down time.• 2005 / 2006 installed a RS200 sort system which required removal of 2 Gen III pop up sorters; all this was done during peak season with minimal down time (6 hours)• Managed the completion of a $6.5 million dollar roof project.• Managed completion of a $7.5 million dollar trailer – parking project.• Managed completion of a $3.0 million dollar building retrofit where 3 internal docks are being removed. • Since Jan. 22, 2008 all Kmart Distribution Centers were challenged to save one million dollars over in controlled spending accounts – as of Oct. trends the Newnan Distribution Center will very easily make this goal.• 2008 managed the installation of 8 miles of 1265 conveyor & update 50% of conveyor controls. with little impact to production• Implemented 3year business plan

• Maintenance department consists of 30 associates, which includes mechanics, electricians and a staff of cleaners. Responsible for all building and preventive maintenance programs and providingemergency repair service on systems includes 16,150 linear feet of conveyor systems, a fleet of 62 electric trucks and various other material handling equipment. (Please see attached building data sheet.)• Re-negotiated existing supplier rates and achieved an overall supply cost savings of $50,000 annually.• Rewrote existing job descriptions and classifications which improved maintenance service while holding costs constant.• Instituted in house training courses. • Started negotiations of parts consignment which will reduce cost by 40% and increase availability as the consignment is in house. This will also reduce down time as parts are always replaced.• Made many improvements to the Rapid Pack system that improved production and reduced costs

• Receiving department consists of 30 associates and 25 doors. Annual volume of 50 million units. Includes quality Inspection, Holding Rack and Inbound scheduling functions.• Responsible for a staff of 30 associates, including 5 clerical. Responsibilities included planning of seasonal manpower and equipment requirements, preparations of several production reports on daily, weekly, monthly basis and scheduling of all priority inbound shipments. Worked with entire building management team to ensure that all processing areas had work on a daily basis.• Developed and maintained the best claims department in the distribution system.• Improved production rates each year.• Achieved 99.8 % accuracy rate in holding rack storage area.• Developed relocating within storage racks which reduced equipment moves and increased product flow to stores.• Redesigned holding rack storage procedures which created an additional 25% more storage capacity and eliminated the need for third party storage.• Developed new QI techniques which eliminated unnecessary steps and reduced required labor hours by 20%.
