Maintaining 182 industrial fork trucks of various types and grounds maintenance of 105-acre site.• Three shift operation which entails coordinating the maintenance supervisors and their crew are able to meet the needs of day to day operations and ongoing projects.• Reduced the spare parts inventory from $439,000.00 to $183,000.00 with the implementation of a consignment program and identifying obsolete stock. • Implemented a conveyor PM program which has reduced down time from days to planned maintenance shut downs.• Serving on a committee that is adapting an apprenticeship program for all Kmart distribution centers Maintenance associates.(highly skilled function)• Reduced power equipment down time from 45 trucks a day to 4 by utilizing outside vendors and increased in house PM schedule while still maintaining a cost saving over the previous year.• Since implementation of all programs Newnan Distribution Center has very little down time.• 2005 / 2006 installed a RS200 sort system which required removal of 2 Gen III pop up sorters; all this was done during peak season with minimal down time (6 hours)• Managed the completion of a $6.5 million dollar roof project.• Managed completion of a $7.5 million dollar trailer – parking project.• Managed completion of a $3.0 million dollar building retrofit where 3 internal docks are being removed. • Since Jan. 22, 2008 all Kmart Distribution Centers were challenged to save one million dollars over in controlled spending accounts – as of Oct. trends the Newnan Distribution Center will very easily make this goal.• 2008 managed the installation of 8 miles of 1265 conveyor & update 50% of conveyor controls. with little impact to production• Implemented 3year business plan
