Career Highlights:- Hired in March 1998 as a software developer working on Y2K conversion of COBOL applications. - Working as lead developer of KY WIC legacy MIS System that included conversion of check reconciliation, financial reporting, caseload management and vendor management from state IT staff to CDP. - Lead team that started building new WIC functionality on the web including automated growth chart and breastfeeding peer counseling modules. - In 2007, worked on proposal to build an online eWIC transaction processing system using modern technology that was approved and eventually become known as WIC Direct. - In 2009, WIC Direct was successfully piloted in two counties in KY. Rollout of WIC direct and the new web-based WIC MIS system CMS continued through 2011. - Technical lead and product owner transferring M&E of the Iowa (IWIN) and North Dakota (WICnet) applications to CDP from the previous contractor. - Technical lead and product owner transferring M&E the first State Agency Model (SAM) WIC MIS System (SPIRIT) to CDP from the previous contractor. - Product Owner of Clinic Management System (CMS) and Retailer Management System (RMS) for KY WIC . - Initial product owner of the WIC data warehouse solution (Data Direct). Data Direct was built to provide state agencies canned and adhoc reports for data analysis of their WIC Data using standard file specifications. In January 2017, Mr. Smith recognized that with the amount of growth at CDP. It was time CDP had some one step up lead the organizations personnel recruitment and forecasting. Mr. Smith works with Product Owners, Project Managers, Account Managers and Sr. Management staff to forecast, analyze and assist with searching for new personnel to meet CDP's growing staff needs.
