Corevent - Bioengineering Dental Implant Manufacturer * Responsible for the design and manufacture of all gigs and fixtures for assembly, laser marking, work holding fixtures for various types of machines, inspection gages and custom miniature cutting tools for CNC Swiss machines. These tools consist of Drills, Boring tools, ID and OD, Threading tools, Groove tools plus multifunctional form tools and Broaches used in the manufacture of dental implants. Invented worlds first ID pickoff collet and Mechanical Pickoff Collet, and other unique components for Screw Machines* Responsible for the supervision of eight (8) toolroom personnel, also troubleshoot all manufacturing problems, which might occur in the machine shop.* Responsible for the purchase of a Walter Mini Power CNC Tool and Cutter Grinder with loader, which I am proficient in the programming, setup, and operation of. ;* Implemented Solidworks into the company in 1996

* Completed a five week (200 hour) computer aided design class of PRO/ENGINEER which consisted of 3D solid modeling and advanced surfaces. ; * After the course was completed I continued to attend COMPUCAD on my own time and studied the PRO/MOLD and PRO/MANUFACTURE modules of the software. ;

TECHMEDICA Medical Prosthetic Device Manufacturer * Provided cost effective and efficient state of the art tooling and manufacturing methods for orthopedic implants and surgical instruments. * Provided innovative tooling and manufacturing methods to reduce product throughput of custom hip prosthesis from 28 hours to less than 6 hours with a significant increase in quality. * Designed and prototyped innovative surgical instrumentation, and provided technical expertise to optimize existing instrumentation.* Designed and manufactured numerous jigs and fixtures that significantly reduced set-up and production times, while ensuring positional accuracy and repeatability.* Provided substantial programming assistance to CNC programming department to guarantee optimal programming, and proper machine use techniques. * Maintained extensive and in depth coordination and communication with related departments. ;

OWNED AND OPERATED PRECISION MACHINE SHOP Fabricated components and tooling for aerospace and commercial applications specializing in difficult to produce parts. Followed all required standards and specifications.

Tool Maker DESIGNED AND FABRICATED TOOLING AND FIXTURING Designed and fabricated tooling and fixtures to machine components to close tolerance requirements, including the programming, set-up, and operation of CNC equipment. OPTICAL TARGETING DEVICE: Designed and manufactured new tooling, manufacturing, and assembly techniques which increased production from 40 per week to 60 per day. Thousands of hours were saved on a production run of 5000 units. OPTICAL LENS HOLDER: Created new manufacturing methods and tooling which reduced machining operations from 5 to 2, and reduced run time from 1 hour to 5 minutes.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT Responsible for the set up of a precision machine shop for an aerospace electro-mechanical product. Supervised and Trained 12 employees. Purchased all capital equipment and CNC machinery. Provided manufacturing instructions on the set-up, fabrication and assembly of products. Project planning and cost estimates. Designed and manufactured jigs, fixtures, and a progressive die program. COST SAVINGS: Saved $1.25 million dollars of product cost by developing and managing in-house production. The part was previously purchased complete from an outside vendor.

Managed a small precision machine shop engaged in the research and development of prototypes for the aerospace industry. Certified to MI-45208, also was a Boeing approved vendor.

RESPONSIBLE FOR MANUFACTURING INSTRUCTIONS AND TOOL DESIGN FOR ALL SHOP JOBS Initially employed as a tool and die lead, promoted to senior lead in 50 man production shop. Designed and built numerous specialized tools, jigs, fixtures and gages. Worked closely with Engineering on new products. DEBURRING SYSTEMS Designed and built a production machine to safely deburr stainless steel generator endbells. The unit reduced the deburring time from 1 hour to 10 minutes with superior cosmetics and enhanced operator safety. Designed and manufactured a miniature right angle fixture to deburr a .062 dia hole in a .312 dia bore .375 from the face of the part. This fixture saved many hours of rework of damaged parts caused by hand deburring. GRINDING AND POLISHING FIXTURE Designed and built a grinding and polishing fixture to rework a 45 conical end on a .062 dia poppet which required a 4 RMS finish or better. This tooling resulted in substantial savings.

My Responsibility was toSupervise 10 drivers and 10 backup drivers.Maintain 11 vehicle's. 2 Command Jeeps, 2 Gun Jeeps, 5 Mules, 2 21/2 ton trucks.We had the highest rating in the Battalion on our inspections. I had the highest score in marksmanship.I was the only trainee to get a perfect score on the physical training test at the start and end of basic training.
