My journey began with a 13-year career at Publix, where I honed my leadership, problem-solving, and high-stress management skills, overseeing store operations and managing million-dollar inventory. After years of growing my knowledge in IT, I decided to make a significant career shift, driven by a passion for cybersecurity and ethical hacking.To support this transition, I’ve invested heavily in learning and development. I’ve earned my Security+ and Google Cybersecurity certificates and am currently studying for the CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) exam. I regularly participate in hands-on labs through platforms like Hack The Box to build practical, real-world experience in penetration testing and threat analysis.A pivotal moment in my journey was meeting renowned hacker Jason Haddix at HackSpaceCon. After a memorable conversation and dinner, Jason generously offered me lifetime access to his The Bug Hunter’s Methodology course. I’ve completed this advanced reconnaissance training twice this year, gaining in-depth insights into identifying vulnerabilities and expanding attack surfaces.Balancing full-time work, rigorous studies, and family responsibilities has strengthened my resilience, adaptability, and commitment. As a husband and father, I understand the importance of dedication and discipline, and I bring these values to my pursuit of a cybersecurity career.I’m eager to leverage my analytical skills, technical training, and proven leadership abilities to drive security improvements and contribute to a team committed to defending against today’s complex threats.
