Management of all company contracts and the technicians assigned to perform their duties in order to fulfill these contracts and the company's obligations to it's customers.Management of the contracts department including all personnel employed within this department, allocating duties to individuals and monitoring their performances.Leading the team in an effective way to ensure that all company contract work is done timeously in accordance with programmes agreed upon with our clients.Communication with the employees within the department to ensure that all know what exactly is expected from them.Communications with our clients ensuring they are always kept informed of the progress of their projects.Ensuring material orders are placed with the correct suppliers, on time, to ensure that projects can be completed in accordance with programmes agreed upon.Inter office communication with Finance, Production and Sales departments, ensuring a smooth flow of information between the Contracts department and others within the company.Visiting the sites to ensure that work is of the highest quality and that the required production is achieved.Plan work-loads and projects with individual technicians.Ensure that all employees in Contracts Department are motivated and productive at all times.

My Mechanical Engineering career started in 2004 at T.Engeering. It was then that I became familiar with, and was trained to use various machines such as Conventional Lathe, Vertical milling machine, Mig welding machines and various other types of welding. Whilst there I done my apprenticeship as a Fitter and Turner. During this phase I decided to apply at Cape Tech for Mechanical Engineering. It was then that I moved over to the sister company TRA-COL Solutions where i was trained under the mentor-ship of Colin Wyngaard, as an Engineering Technician in training. I was exposed to more intricate engineering. This ranged from Maintenance, Plant Optimization, Fabrication, Modifications, New installations and upgrades to existing blower systems in the Waste Water Treatment Works.My work experience gained was in various areas such as Project Planning, Managerial Skills, Fabrication, Machining, Maintenance, Design, Plant Optimization, Costing/Quoting, Administration and Customer Liaising.
