The California Compost Coalition (CCC) is a registered Lobbying Coalition with the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC), created in 2002 by a group of compost operators in response to demands for increased recycling of organic materials and production of clean compost.The California Compost Coalition represents member organic material recyclers and compost operators with a unified statewide voice on many issues: product safety and standards, government regulations, environmental planning, trade, and marketing.

The California Organics Recycling Council (CORC) is the voice of organics recyclers. CORC represents a coalition of organics recyclers, including collectors, processors, end users, and local governments. CORC supports the development of an organics infrastructure for increasing sustainable and diverse end markets, through policy leadership and education. CORC provides educational workshops, expert testimony and comments on legislation and regulations, and is a resource for organic materials recycling programs.

Renewable Sonoma was founded on the belief that we need to process our organics in-county. Our farmers, landscapers and backyard gardeners deserve high quality composts and mulches that meet the needs of the community at an affordable price.Renewable Sonoma will be a carbon negative organics recycling facility using a covered aerated static pile compost system, anaerobic digestion, all electric machinery, with the exception of rolling stock.Renewable Sonoma will implement a strong community outreach and education program to increase organics diversion from the landfill, obtain clean feedstocks, promote healthy soils and cabon farming/gardening, help implement the Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance (MWELO), present workshops on composting, etc.

To provide organic recycling services. Educate farmers, landscapers and home owners on uses of compost and mulch to conserve water, enhance microbial soil communities, improve nutrient cycling, create healthy soils and sequester carbon.
