Conducts research and compiles information necessary to develop and update policies and standard operating procedures for the implementation and management of a comprehensive safety and security program to include company-wide communication protocols for crisis management, cyber security, emergency preparedness and response, disaster recovery coordination both internal and external along with business continuity planning. Additionally performs safety inspections of CCWA facilities to further train the safety team on loss prevention measures. Maintains, tracks, prepares and reviews various data, reports, forms and requests. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Served as agency liaison to media outlets in the metropolitan Atlanta area, regionally and nationally. Produced press releases and various other forms of communiqué for the Office of the Fire Chief and the Clayton County Office of Emergency Management. Represented the department on the Urban Atlanta Security Initiative. Supervised the public affairs staff and advised the fire chief/EMA director on matters of public interest.
