My career began in information technology, but my expertise has grown to include operational oversight for companies who strive to employ data and technology to perform strategically, efficiently, and profitably. My foundation in IT and my experience with data management and application informs my business strategy and execution on every level. In positions of increasing responsibility and purview, I have developed my companies’ capabilities toward greater productivity, smarter financial management, increased revenue, and measurable achievement.I joined Rustbelt Reclamation, a manufacturer of custom commercial furniture, first as General Manager before being promoted to COO. As GM, I was given the directive to position the company for growth.During my tenure as VP and General Manager, we overhauled enterprise strategy around production hours rather than products and implemented continuous improvement practices that led to measurable advances in overhead costs, pipeline activity, revenue, and productivity. I was promoted to COO of Rustbelt to widen my influence and build a strategic roadmap informed by business intelligence. During my tenure in this role, we realized improvements in spending, productivity, staffing, and technology while maintaining revenue. Prior to Rustbelt, I spent eight years in increasingly responsible IT roles at Cleveland Cliffs, a global iron-ore company based in Cleveland, Ohio, and more than three years at the MetroHealth System, one of three major healthcare institutions in the Cleveland area. In both roles I enthusiastically took on projects that challenged me to expand the role and impact of Information Technology across the enterprise.
