I worked primarily with web-based applications written in PHP for the LAMP environment. I used SQL on a daily basis and helped coordinate development tasks. As the lead developer, I was responsible for managing Subversion repositories for both internal and external projects. I spent a majority of my time improving the eCommerce product in GRAVEL.

I started out at Olsson Associates ("OA") writing utilities for the IT team and handling support requests from employees. I installed software (including AutoCAD) on employee workstations and performed routine maintenance. While at OA I learned a great deal about SQL and software maintenance (in terms of both development and deployment). Towards the end of the time that I worked for OA I transitioned over to the marketing team and developed client web sites using ASP and PHP.OA was a great employer - they allowed me to set my schedule as a part-time employee and hired me full-time during the 2002-03 school year as I did not attend classes that year. I left OA for a job with aijalon, Inc.

I developed my programming skills through various self-directed projects. I also built and sold computer systems. I taught myself C++ and worked on 3D rendering techniques while in high school and college.
