Taught sailing at a boys summer camp on Great Pond, ME. Was a counselor for ~8 weeks, looking after my own 3, 9 year old boys as well as all the other campers, leading multiple trips with various campers ages 9-14, learning leadership skills, parenting skills, how to work as a team with other counselors and staff, and effective communication throughout the 8 week long summer.

Through the Student Leadership Team I greatly strengthened my relationships with my peers, older adults in the church, and with God, while getting the opportunity to serve those around me while building a welcoming community. Improved upon leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills while serving the youth group with my friends and peers that I grew up in church with. I also filmed for weekly student youth groups, led & hosted weekly zoom game nights during Covid, and led student services with peers on the leadership team.

• Lead our class in all things events, working in a team of four requiring extensive communication, collaboration, flexibility, sacrifice, and leadership, working often with students, staff, and faculty• Ran class of 23’ Instagram page, senior assassin, designed class t-shirts, annual spirit week, prom, winter formal, worship nights, back to school night, annual fundraiser, and October Oreos • Co-ran and hosted Christmas annual secret santa party for 5 years, a classic tradition of our grade

Mountain View Los Altos Service League of Boys is a service organization aimed at connecting middle and high school students with philanthropies and each other in order to best serve their community. Starting in 9th grade I have served on the executive board. As former president of the organization I lead ~250 boys and their parents in leadership and encouragement reaching the goal of serving our local community. I strengthened my public speaking skills immensely while leading meetings with all membership and their parents as well as communication and leadership among boys and parents apart of the executive and parent boards. I am currently serving as parliamentarian

Summer of Junior year - Leadership Training Internship Program (LTIP). A paid position for ~7 weeks, learning valuable life skills working maintenance, projects, kitchen work, leading activities and trips, cleaning, and counseling boys.

Learned interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating orders and relationships with customers, deliveries, and in house operations.

Had the opportunity with my church to serve the local communities throughout the villages surrounding Tecate through local churches, playing with the kids, working construction, and building lifelong friends with our service group and people living in the villages. It was extremely eye opening and was a truly transformative and influential experience in my life.
