My passion for working with wood came from the Boy Scouts. I enjoyed being in the woods camping, hiking, and fishing. I started out studying forestry, but I soon realized I was more interested in the manufacturing side of the wood industry. I complemented these studies with some process engineering classes to help me prepare for the industrial landscape I was about to enter.I’ve been in the wood products industry for 25 years and I thoroughly enjoy what I’m doing. I’ve been involved with wood preservation my entire career. My sales and managerial experience has allowed me to learn the operations and sales aspects of the business:safetyquality controlproductioninventoryproject managementpurchasingsalesI want to use my background and experiences to focus on sales and project management in the southern yellow pine lumber market or in engineered wood products.
