As a result of the success of my UROP placement over the summer, I was invited to continue working with the S3 lab in conjunction with the department's development arm, Codegroovers. In this role, I created an android application for BLE scanning and service discovery, as part of a new product called BLEMAP.

During this UROP, I worked alongside the S3 Lab at Royal Holloway - specifically in the field of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) device security research. My role consisted of researching and creating an automated system in Python for discovering and fetching firmwares for these BLE devices; through disassembling and analysing the device's Android application counterparts (responsible for device maintenance and upgrades).
