My passion has always been film. My purpose will always be to serve.When I was a little kid, my parents had won a town raffle and brought home a small, plastic camcorder. Instantly I fell in love with filming my family, my cat, the birds in the trees, and anything around me. I found myself spending hours editing my films on the family Mac which had come with iMovie pre-installed. When I entered high school, my passion for digital art was stronger than ever, and I sought out every photography, graphic design, and film class that I could take. When I entered College, I was fortunate enough to know exactly what I wanted my major to be, and I have stuck with that major my entire career. I thoroughly enjoyed my experiences in cinema studies, film production, and movie writing classes. However, as I found myself talking with my friends and professors about the recent Oscar's and the films we love, I came to the realization that there was something different that I was called to do.My education and life has always been guided and imbued with the fire of my faith, and the importance of leadership and servitude has been a driving force in my journey, and I believe that teaching is among the noblest of professions. If I am able to teach my students and foster in them the same fire that I felt when I was a kid, then I will be fulfilling my purpose of extending my hand and helping the next generation to learn and live with compassion, respect, and dignity.
