Brought into MDA Geospatial Services to define a Marketing and Product Management strategy for the organization. • Responsible for pricing of data products; defined new pricing models for archive data sales as well as a series of value-added products• Developed and implemented an annual marketing plan for the Geospatial Services business unit.• Implemented a social media strategy for MDA Geospatial Services Inc. MDA had no social media presence. Championed the benefit of social media to the Executive Team and received approval to implement for the Geospatial Services business unit.

Director of FocalPoint, a line of advanced business intelligence solutions targeted at the global utility market. Responsible for product direction of an $8MM product line. A leadership position with responsibility for a team of three Product Managers, focused on activities around the integration of FocalPoint, acquired in early 2011, into Ventyx.• Successfully coached a team of developers through the transition to Product Managers.• Implemented a transition strategy for the managed end of life of Performance Suite, by developing a customer-focused transition plan to FocalPoint.• Defined a full product roadmap that clearly communicated the product strategy and timing to both the market and internal stakeholders.

Senior Product Manager with responsibility for managing the full product lifecycle for Performance Suite, a cross-functional enterprise business intelligence product family. The Performance Suite business intelligence products (Knowledge Warehouse, Operations Dashboard and Decision Support) supported three Enterprise products – Asset Suite, Customer Suite and Service Suite. Responsibilities included setting broad, long-term vision for the product, managed the product roadmap, established business cases and product plans, and defined requirements, strategies, and pricing. Managed third-party relationships, and negotiated contracts and license agreements.• Revitalized an abandoned product line by increasing annual license revenue to ~$2.5MM and developed a unified product strategy for business intelligence capabilities.• Managed the introduction of two new products from opportunity identification, through product definition, product development and release to market. Included management of a $500K outsource contract to develop the solution.• Delivered a complete gap analysis and convergence plan (business and technical) for Telkom South Africa, Ventyx’s largest customer, to move from their highly customized version of Advantex to the baseline product.

Defined and managed a program of Leadership Councils, Customer Advisory Boards, Special Interest Groups and Focus Groups across the Ventyx product offering. This customer-focused role ensured that the customer had a voice in both strategic and tactical product direction.• Broadened the program from three products to include all 10 of Ventyx' products.• Increased enrollment by ~425%, from ~300 registered users to over 1,500.• Reduced the effort (from months to days) required for Product Managers to define features by developing a Product Enhancement Request Tool.• Received overwhelmingly positive feedback from customers on the openness of the process and the level of feedback it provided.

Based in London, provided sales support across the EMEA region for Service Suite and Performance Suite. Provided product expertise, product demonstrations, proposal support and training activities. Maintained Product Management responsibilities for Performance Suite during this period.• Developed brand recognition for Performance Suite in EMEA, resulting in two new sales.

Managed a team of up to four Technical Writers that produced user documentation, help files and training material for the Service Suite and Performance Suite products. Responsible for performance reviews, assigning tasks, setting priorities and providing direction to the group.• Improved moral and increased productivity of a team of technical writers that were feeling abandoned by the organization. As a result the team increased the number of deliverables, supporting two products instead of one, without an increase in staffing.

Provided subject matter expertise on the market and the Ventyx Workforce Management products, to the market and internally within Ventyx. Developed and implemented strategies and processes for communicating product information to the market. Defined and managed goals for measuring the success of Ventyx’s marketing efforts.• Implemented the "Advantex in a Box" product delivery model, decreasing the implementation timelines for a base system from 18 to 9 months. • Managed the process of evolving Ventyx’s approach to delivering its products from highly customized, customer-specific software to commercial off-the-shelf software. This involved promoting change within all areas of the organization.
