As Principal/Mixed-Use & Multi-Family Practice Leader with Ci Design, Chris fills multiple roles at Ci Design, from conceptualizing and master-planning for mixed-use, residential, retail and hospitality projects to business development and client management operations. His varied project experience ranges from domestic and international clientele, including North Hills Main District in Raleigh, North Carolina, Colina in Hunt Valley, Maryland, Aura Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, H&S Bakery and Café in Baltimore, Maryland and Center Point in Wilmington, North Carolina. Currently Chris has been leading the 1.5 million sf redevelopment/expansion at North Hills in Raleigh, NC and Metropica, the highly-profiled 4 million sf mixed-use development in Sunrise, FL.Previously Chris served as Senior Design Manager/National Business Manager for the Mixed-Use/Hospitality Market Sector at Carter & Burgess Inc. and Associate for Development Design Group, where I served as designer/project architect. Chris currently holds a Council Seat on the Urban Land Institutes Innovation in Housing Council and is an active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Urban Land Institute (ULI), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and American Planning Association (APA).

With more than 20 years practice, Chris Bauer has extensive experience in the planning, concept design and architecture within many aspects of the profession on numerous retail, entertainment, mixed-use, residential and hospitality projects both domestically and internationally. Chris Bauer served as Design Manager/National Business Development Manager for the Retail/Mixed-Use/Hospitality Market Sector. In this position I coordinated all national business development and marketing initiatives that includes client relations, advertising, marketing materials, public relations and conferences. During this time I spent more than 7 Years as Designer/Project Manager for Carter & Burgess’ National Retail & Mixed-use Group. While securing Carter Burgess’ national client base I had developed strong client relations and built dynamic team environments in all of my projects. I also served as planner and designer on many national projects including North Hills, Raleigh, NC; Power Plant Live!, Baltimore, MD; Prime San Marcos, San Marcos, TX; Hialeah Gateway, Miami, FL; Sharon Corners, Charlotte, NC; Pompano Park, Pompano, FL; Heron Cove, Palm Beach, FL; Tanger Outlets, Myrtle Beach, SC and Moorestown Mall, Moorestown, NJ.

Managed projects from concept design through design development including construction. Projects included mixed-use, shopping centers, entertainment/cinemas, hospitality and residential. Projects included Easton Town Center, Ybor City, Atlantic Station, Marriott Glodok, Muvico Theaters and etc.
