Backend SWE developing a new platform for alternatives data management.

I work as a backend engineer on data conversion tooling.

Backend software engineer using a wide range of Google Cloud technologies, such as Dataflow and BigQuery, in addition to other big data tools like Apache Druid and Beam, to power our internal analytics platforms. My job and team focuses on delivering data that is quickly queryable and always available.

- Worked as an intern on the Data Analytics Platform team and investigated alternatives to Dataflow for running big data pipelines. - Learned to run and troubleshoot pipelines on Spark clusters in different modes using Google Cloud's Dataproc, and finally presented in depth cost analyses to various interested teams. - Winner of the Annual Intern Hackathon.

- Developed a form editor as a module embedded into an existing ViaSat geospatial visualization tool in order to help internal users make better business decisions regarding satellite licensing around the world. - Used PostgreSQL and PGAdmin4 to build a database from scratch, after gathering requirements from various stakeholders of the project. Afterwards, I created a REST API in addition to the user interface, presenting weekly demos of progress. Tools used: VueJS, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap-Vue, PostgreSQL, AJAX

- Assisted Data Structures students during class time to help them succeed at their assignments and labs. - Stayed up-to-date with the syllabus material in order to help guide students through the course.

- Instructed an after-school robotics program at elementary schools using LEGO MINDSTORMS technology.

- Read, wrote, and edited "Integrated Procure-to-Pay" webpages for UCSD faculty- Write over 40 knowledge based articles- Learned to use Excel by gathering and manipulating data from product sales in order to inform business partners to make better decisions.
