Monitors chlorine residuals in distribution system and relays results in order to maintain optimum water quality in distribution system. Perform associated maintenance on positive displacement chemical pumps, turbidity meters, vertical turbine motors, limit switch for CLA-VAL operation, CLA-VAL stem replacement, limited SCADA circuitry. Also performs tasks such as landscaping around treatment plant, janitorial duties and being direct line of contact for customers after hours for emergencies and/or water quality, minor leaks and high-water bills.

Would perform associated maintenance on diaphragm chemical pumps, turbidity meters, vertical turbine motors, air compressors used for pneumatic valves, limit switches for CLA-VAL operation, limited SCADA circuitry, centrifugal pumps. Would also perform tasks such as water quality concerns from customers and associated flushing, taking of 44 bacteriological samples monthly and quarterly samples (Total organic carbon, volatile organic carbon, HAA5, TTHM) in accordance with Alabama Department of Environmental Management.

Would perform necessary maintenance on diaphragm chemical pumps, rotameters, vertical turbine motors, turbidity meter, centrifugal booster pumps, limit switches for CLA-VAL operation and limited SCADA circuitry. Performed on-call duties with associated facilities. Would also perform tasks such as main line/service locates, checking and determination of leaks with-in system, valving of water for maintenance crews and associated flushing, addressing water quality concerns from customers and associated flushing, face to face interaction with customers regarding water quality, leaks and high-water bills.
