As an Adjunct faculty member, I plan, implement, and adapt teaching methodologies according to various student needs and learning styles by incorporating engaging and creative activities in and outside the classroom. I assign weekly and monthly assignments that evaluate students’ argumentative capabilities and rhetorical analysis abilities and provides in-depth feedback to foster growth, build hands-on and discussion-based curriculum around diverse topics and literature to stimulate students’ curiosity and understanding of various backgrounds and ways of being.

In this position I foster student body career readiness by conducting student appointments on career readiness topics, such as resume/cover letter reviewing, mock interviewing, and job/internship searching. I assist an average of 50 students monthly by educating on career readiness services, embed industry education and career readiness by collaborating with and serving as a liaison to faculty and staff for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and coordinate special programing and presentations to immerse valuable career education throughout campus departments and colleges.

In this position I developed in-depth departmental training for the Peer Career Advisor program and established program content and goals. I constructed program curriculum, which includes services like resume critiquing, mock interviews, job and internship searching, and professional networking services, I supervised and mentored a team of 15 undergraduate and graduate student workers. I trained and evaluated peer career advisors to maintain and increase professional development and skills, which entails frequent modes of communication and mentorship. I established professional connections for the advancement of departmental functions and programs. I guided students in career readiness and meets with students to actively develop related skills and competencies. I collaborated with a staff of 6 to assist with departmental operations and decision making on a regular basis. I created career-related programming based on the best interests and needs of college. I maintained communication with employers to promote beneficial employment opportunities for the student body.

In this position I created written documents that illustrated ideas and promoted the department for various audiences, supervised and trained a team of 11 student employees, and developed and organized on-campus events, including programming, on-campus interviews, and career fairs.I also collaborated with a team of 13 staff members to effectively coordinate departmental functions

In this position I scheduled appointments with students and Alumni for the utilization of various services, greeted and offered assistance to employers from across the country and world, as well as recruit employers for future events, and created written documents that illustrated ideas and promoted the department for various audiences. I also aided 13 staff members with varying tasks as needed, maintained and assisted with office operations in order for the department to run successfully, and implemented active listening and effective communication to better perform office functions and tasks.
