Current Experience:Act as the chief investment officer for Mercatus Partners, a private real estate investment company that develops and/or acquires investment-grade multifamily and industrial properties across the US either alongside prominent institutional real estate developers and/or operators or on its own.Act as the founder and managing member of i3 Capital Corporation, a private real estate investment and advisory firm that invests alongside its investors across the different real estate sectors in various positions within a property’s capital stack (common equity, preferred equity, mezzanine debt, and senior debt). Previous Experience:Acted as the chief financial officer and chief investment officer for RedHill Realty Investors, an owner/operator of multifamily properties in the Western United States that partnered with prominent institutional groups that included AEW, Assurant Life, BlackRock, Bridge, Crow Holdings, GE Capital, and PIMCO. During my tenure, RedHill’s full-cycle projects produced a weighted average IRR in excess of 40%. Acted as a managing director for IndCor Properties, Inc. (a holding of the Blackstone Group (NYSE: BX) that owns over 100M SF of industrial assets) and as one of its first senior management hires, established and managed all financial and accounting activities.Managed advisory and consulting groups within CBRE and Cushman Wakefield. Represented property owners and investors with the acquisition/disposition of over $9B of multifamily and commercial assets, including over 20M SF of commercial assets, over 30K multifamily units and 1K acres of land.Involved in the origination of over $2B of debt and equity financing, including funding over $100M in equity and debt for a single project, over $200M in equity for an investment fund, and over $100M for the purchase of non-performing loans.Provided tenant representation services for such prominent clients as Qualcomm, Genetech, Intel, Plexus, Idec Pharmaceuticals, Amylin Pharmaceuticals, County of SD, SDG&E and Peregrine Systems.Participated as a principal in the development, asset management, and financing of several large scale projects, including a $250M resort and a $150M mixed-use commercial development.Other Specialties:Provide a full range of financial and analytical advisory services to real estate investors, developers, landlords, users and lenders that enable them to expeditiously make fully informed and intelligent real estate decisions in the midst of today’s complex and dynamic real estate environment.
