My analytics career path started as an Analyst at Hub Group in their Business Development department. There, I quickly learned SAP Business Objects and provided many different teams with reporting and basic analysis. The small reporting team was eventually merged with the Yield Management Team and reworked into the Business Intelligence Team where I picked up SQL, Tableau, and R. Currently my main duties are to provide weekly/monthly updates to upper management, as well as assist sales operations with any lead generation. I also help manage our Tableau dashboards and fulfill requests from departments as needed. I am also providing an email dashboard, using a combination of Power Query, SQL, R, and Tableau, to our department leaders to assist in delegation and to secure more resources.Before Hub Group, I started as a production engineer at Nehring Electrical Works. There I provided production data, historical analysis, and regression analysis to managers and supervisors. I also managed one of our production lines, serving as a local expert and liaison to the manufacturer, performed quality analysis, and debugged any issues that came up. I also ran smaller projects to improve productivity and communication.Before my work life, I went to university at Northern Illinois University. During my final semester of undergrad, I took the senior design class. For this class I and a partner worked on a project for SPX Hydraulic Technologies and presented it to peers and SPX leaders. Our project was to improve repair lead time in the warranty repair department. We reduced this lead time from 2 weeks to 4 days which resulted in a customer savings of around $2 million. Because of these savings and our presentation skills we were able to win first prize in the Industrial and Systems Engineering division.I am eager to connect with any coworkers, colleagues, or other interesting individuals; so feel free to message me.
