My professional journey reflects adaptability and innovation, particularly evident during the challenging pandemic years. It was during this period that I conceptualized and executed numerous academic and professional education programs, finely tuned to meet evolving learning and development needs.As a full professor at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, my intellectual pursuits center on decision-making dynamics within broad learning and performance contexts. I strive to empower under-resourced and underrepresented populations by understanding the motivations behind individual and organizational decisions. Through well-crafted scaffolds, I facilitate informed decision-making processes. My research spans organizational decision-making attributes in technology innovations, game-based environments for optimal engagement, cognitive and motivational processing in learning, career development needs assessment, and patient-centered approaches to promote health equity.Being bilingual in English and Mandarin/Traditional Chinese, I thrive on interdisciplinary collaborations.
