Senior Trade Compliance Manager
CurrentRun Trade Compliance Department at the intersection of Legal, Logistics, Sourcing, Product, Finance and International teams. Guide the business to compliance with U.S. import laws, minimize delivery delays and optimize amount of duty paid to U.S. Customs. Utilize emerging artificial intelligence (AI) tools for practical application for trade compliance programs and process. Provide training, mentoring and regular feedback to the team. Encourage employees to become the best they are capable of becoming. Expect excellence and provide support.Oversee ISA, CTPAT, First Sale and FTA programs, as well as classification, valuation, origin, ADD-CVD and internal audit. Determine KPIs to assess compliance risks and measure successes. Write, review and enforce internal and external SOPs to manage expectations and performance of vendors and employees. Run analysis of country-of-origin regulations and recommend relocation of certain manufacturing operations, in order to mitigate impact of Section 301 tariffs on the bottom line. Conduct targeted trainings for employees, supervisors, and vendors. Understand and meet the training needs of compliance-facing departments. Perform tariff-engineering reviews in order to optimize duty rates. Write and review binding ruling letters to CBP.
