Dr. Lippert has always displayed a high degree of integrity, responsibility, and ambition. He is definitely a leader rather than a follower; initiating several education proposals in conjunction with the John P. Murtha Institute and seeking out grants to better serve the students. Dr. Lippert is a reliable and consistent influence in the completion of projects, working with me nights and weekends to meet the deadlines associated with his appointment as Faculty Advisor to the Murtha Institute, and taking the extra steps that mean the difference between a good job and a great job done. He dedication is also shown with his volunteer time for the Murtha Institute and its activities. He has expert knowledge in historical aspects of national security policy implications on topics of information assurance, technology and its use for terrorism, and activities aimed at preventing future events. Dr. Lippert was also an integral person in the development of graduate certificates of recommendation at IUP. He has initiated and attended numerous meetings, and timely completed all the work asked of him by the Murtha Institute and IUP. He has good judgment and a mature outlook that ensure a logical and practical approach to his endeavors. While interested in research, Dr. Lippert is very student orientated. During the time I have known him, he has continuously updating his coursework to reflect the recent changes in the social studies field. This benefits the students greatly when they graduate and enter the market place.
