The Global Trade Advisory (GTA) team is part of Deloitte Tax & Legal. The team provides international legal services, such as advising and guiding clients. GTA specialists support companies in a broad range of customs, excise and non-fiscal advisory services. To ensure compliance with legislation and to support them in optimizing their trade organizations.The digital side of the GTA team is responsible for building, implementing and maintaining software products for our clients. With TrackonTrade (ToT) as the main product. ToT is a customs management system, designed and built by Deloitte itself.Among other things, the system automates the filing of customs and excise declarations, the administration of customs warehouses and other customs procedures for companies. But above all, TrackonTrade makes it possible to continuously analyse data and make automated decisions.As a TrackonTrade Support Expert, I carry the responsibility as the first point of contact for our clients. Customer contact, analysing customer questions, looking for the deeper cause of problems and creating targeted solutions for this are my core tasks. In addition I am also the sparring partner for our implementation consultants and developers, in discussing functional & technical (customer) questions, developments and improvements.

At TPS I was trained to work as a Business IT & Data Analyst and taught to contribute to the Innovation Movement. Having been introduced to Python, Power BI and Storytelling I can be put on various projects/assignments that contribute to the digitization and development of organisations. I am motivated to seek the connection between Business & IT and stimulate progress, innovation and growth within organisations.

As a team lead my role varied from managing and supporting the staff, to taking care of our guests and part of the business bookkeeping. As a host I was responsible for welcoming guests, serving them and giving them the feeling that they are going to experience a special evening. As a bartender I was the figurehead of the restaurant and radiated happiness and positivity.

As part of my graduation internship I joined the IT Infra Adoption Team of Rabobank Netherlands. The project I worked on was the transformation towards One Digital Workspace (ODW) for all Rabobank employees worldwide. The focus of ODW is to create a unified way of working by using the Office 365 applications. Office 365 is a collection of multiple Microsoft services, all in a cloud based environment. For the Rabobank this meant not only the implementation of new workspace software, but also a large migration towards the Cloud.Since Office 365 is Cloud based, it is device independent. Meaning that employees can view, edit and share files on any device without problems. This opens up more functionalities to communicate, collaborate and to increase productivity. The main challenge of ODW is the acceptance / adoption of the new digital environment by employees. This is where the Adoption Team comes into place. The team inspires, facilitates and supports the digital transformation within Rabobank. With the vision to close the gap between employee experience and IT technology. The goal is satisfied employees who use IT functionalities efficiently, work together as teams / departments and go through continuous development. Within the team I was responsible for providing training, webinars and creating online training material. Next to this, I also wrote my graduation thesis. In which I advise on an adoption-strategy that can be applied to the Rabobank London Branch.

For my internship at Rabobank AU & NZ I have worked on multiple projects, regarding process improvement. I managed my own project to digitize audit confirmations. Next to this I supported the Operational Excellence team in their various projects. During my internship I learned about Lean Six Sigma and was able to get white belt certified.

In all the years that I worked at Coop Supermarkten, I developed into a full all-round employee. I was active in the various departments. Consisting of the frozen section, groceries-, dairy-, meat-, vegetables- and bread department. On top of it all, I was a helpful cashier.

BeatsCommunity was a Junior Company, established as part of my International Business College education. To be a Junior Company, the business had to comply with the regulations of Stichting Jong Ondernemen (Young Entrepreneurship corp.). With a Junior Company, students experience what it is like to run their own company. Dividing functions, brainstorming, choosing a product & target group, selling shares and keeping track of financial records where all part of the course. Discovering where your talents lie and which role within a company suits you are the main goals.

As part of the IBC course, I did an internship at ABN AMRO’s department for occupational group arrangements. It was a four-days internship spread over a few months. The company internship served as a first introduction to the culture of a large organization. And consisted of making assignments relating to several subjects, such as analyzing organizational structures, collective labor agreements, financial statements and conducting interviews.
